Healthcare Fitness Liaisons, or HFLs, are fitness professionals who have taken a comprehensive 36 hour program and have passed a challenging written and practical testing process on topics including anatomy and kinesiology, exercise and injury, identification and treatment of faulty postural patterns, disease processes, and more. In addition to the increased knowledge base helping the trainer to assist the client to better reach his/her goals, the program also helps the fitness professional to be comfortable working with healthcare providers of all types. This program is unique in the fitness industry as it is taught by fitness instructors who are also practicing sports medicine doctors. Those who earn the Certificate of Advanced Knowledge as a Healthcare Fitness Liaison have the necessary skills to work with a broader clientele base and take their training/fitness business to the next level.
