(Two Part Workshop)
Description: This workshop will discuss pertinent information regarding five of the most common conditions in today’s society. Heart Disease, Diabetes, Obesity, (Part I) Arthritis and Osteoporosis (Part II) are effecting the U.S. population like never before. This workshop will review definitions, risks factors, prevention and treatment, as well as exercise protocols and lifestyle recommendations to assist in prevention and management.
Objectives: Students completing this workshop will gain basic knowledge of these common conditions. Students will possess the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding these conditions and develop specific exercise protocols to assist in prevention and/or management.
